Making Positive Change: A Guide to Quitting Smoking

The Journey Begins: A Commitment to Health
Quitting smoking can be one of the most significant challenges you face, but it’s also one of the most rewarding changes you can make for your health. The act of quitting smoking is not just about breaking an unhealthy habit; it’s a commitment to a healthier, smoke-free life. Taking the first step towards quitting is essential to making positive change, setting you on the path to a healthier you.
Understanding the Impact of Unhealthy Habits
Unhealthy lifestyle choices, such as smoking, can lead to severe health complications. It’s important to recognize how these habits affect not only your physical health but also your emotional well-being. By acknowledging the harmful effects of smoking, you equip yourself with the motivation needed to take action. Understanding that quitting smoking dramatically improves your quality of life can help solidify your resolve.
The culture of drinking, smoking, and recreational drug use in many cities today is spoiling tradition, culture, and the beauty of leading a healthy vibrant life. Once you make the decision to quit all together, permanently, and leave that youthful error behind you, then you can start living a purposeful, meaningful, healthy life. And start leading by example. While peers often incite us to start smoking, it can be near impossible to quit. Some people quit and only smoke in social settings. That is a risk, because you may also rush back to smoking at times of stress (or drinking & smoking). Understanding your habits, triggers, friends, and support a little better will hopefully help you make that decision to put yourself first. And friends later.
Strategies for Quitting Smoking
Embarking on the journey of quitting smoking requires effective strategies to manage cravings and triggers. Whether it’s through counseling, support groups, or nicotine replacement therapies, find a method that aligns with your lifestyle. Surrounding yourself with positive influences and focusing on replacing unhealthy habits with positive habits can also strengthen your commitment. Remember, making positive change is often about small steps leading to significant outcomes.
Vapes Vs Patches
Vapes not only litter the environment, but they are powered by cobalt. As we all know there is a reason people should be conscious and aware of how cobalt is sourced, and how unsightly vapes look in our ever polluted landscape. Wearing a patch, or using cigs, fake cigs, and melting nicotine tabs are other ways. The vape pods seem to release chemicals or plastic when heated, and are not recommended. Refillable vapes are probably the best choice, as opposed to disposable vapes. Disposable vapes in the short term can definitely help you quit, or get through your day. But long term use of disposable vapes is hazardous, as is long term use of refillable vapes. People can get very sick, or even die. Nicotine is addictive no matter how you use it.
CBD Vapes
Many people give positive feedback on CBD vaping and say it helps to relax them, and it also lasts longer. We have yet to see any real feedback on using CBD. But it is thought to help your nervous system. Ultimately quitting, and choosing a better lifestyle is best of all.
Personally…
I’ve quit many times before. I finally managed to quit for good. Laying in the out patients, discussing my previous smoking habits with my Oncologist. Thankfully, though I only had smoked socially for the past 7-8 years, I have managed not to smoke at all this year. Smoking affects your body’s natural ability to heal. And it should be taken seriously. After discussing how guilty I had felt for giving up, and failing with the occasional smoke, it was obvious that the guilt I felt triggered me to smoke again. And on a rough day, I might buy a packet (rare), but even worse if you’re an occasional smoker. It’s great to break free of the bonds of smoking. The only way is to quit is 100% for good! And that is from will power. How determined are you to quit? How will it benefit you?
REMEMBER SMOKING CAUSES CANCER & QUITTING CAN HELP TO HEAL YOU!
