Ladies, we are definitely WOMEN, womb men, we know our gender, by what time of the month it is, and how we are sometimes treated in the world. The sacrifices we make just by being female, and bleeding every month. Sure not all females have periods, or monthly periods. But most do. Our menstrual cycles are something that binds women together. Often occurring by cycles of the moon. Women often have their periods at the same time. Menstruation & childbirth is something we cant avoid. But with the blessing of procreation for most of us. Sadly not all woman can.
How To Be Optimal – Eat Healthily
Our hormones are actually manufactures in our GUT. When our GI is off, or we don’t eat a nutritional healthy balanced diet, things can go wrong. I am a Life Coach, and understanding nutrition, and functions on a basic level, I still read more about, and learn more about the topic. As someone who had PCOD/PCOS, I was absolutely shocked to read that a sugar based, high sugar diet/snacking can cause androgen > testosterone levels to rise, thus causing this condition. It makes sense, because many women with PCOS are a little or more overweight, or were perhaps not raised on a well balanced nutritional diet. Even women who ate, or eat large amounts of bread, pasta, sweets, chocolates, biscuits, cakes, may be at higher risk. I’m sure there’s a lot more to it than sugar control & weight management. But I also noticed other things..
The regularity of your periods MAY also be related to your diet and eating habits. This just goes to prove that gut health is connected to our female hormones. And we should eat healthily EVERY DAY. Obviously there are some conditions independent or irrespective of this personal observation concerning the regularity of periods (I can’t speak for everyone). But what you eat may impact your hormones generally.
Which Foods Are Good?
Some foods are best for overall health, one foods and supplements are good for PMT, hormone regulation, and mood. Foods rich in Vitamin B, selenium, and foods which help the natural flora (fermented foods, pickles). Many fruits & flowers seem to have the key to increased mood levels.

What Are Period Cups?
These period cups are a great solution for women who dislike using tampons & pads. Probably invented thousands of years ago, by women such as Cleopatra. They are hygienic & considered safe to use. The added benefit is you can reuse them next month if you wish. They just require cleaning, by dipping them in boiling water. While a few may be cautious of using silicone, the company claims they are safe to use. And other products contains bleach, and chemicals.
Period Pants
I think after a lifetime of hassle around monthly times, I am finally willing to try cups & pants as an alternative. I am tired of having little choice, and not very effective solutions when it comes to my heavy low. I think using cups & pants (while the pants are designed to hold) I just couldn’t do it. Some people choose to wear them on their own, others with other products to save their regular dramas.
